Our Philosophy

Why can't we seem to find lasting solutions to the issues of family disintegration, crime, racial division, drug addiction, immorality, injustice etc. Many solutions have been proposed but several fall short of providing permanent answers. This is because these solutions address these issues from the outside in and from the top down.

It is the contention of Dr. Evans that the real answer lies in a transformation that comes from the inside out and from the bottom up. As Dr. Evans states, "The core cause of the problems we face is a spiritual one. Therefore it's time now for a kingdom agenda.

A Kingdom agenda is one, which reflects the comprehensive rule of God, so that His way, rather than man's way serves as the authoritative basis for how we live. The Urban Alternative shows how the four biblical spheres of life interrelate and build upon one another so that change comes from the inside out and from the bottom up. In The Kingdom Agenda the individual impacts the family, the family serves the church, and the church ministers to the community. When these spheres of life are properly related to God and one another, life transformation is the natural result.
