Dear Friend,
With all the challenges that we are currently facing, economic uncertainty, health scares, political decisions, job insecurity, and a myriad of other issues that are producing emotional instability, you maybe asking yourself, what in the world is there to be grateful for this thanksgiving.
The author of the book of Hebrews answers this question for us. After speaking about the fact that God allows disruption through negative circumstances to take place in our lives (Heb 12:25-27). He concludes with these words, “Therefore since we receive a Kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude…. (12:28)
Much like a pregnant mother in labor, the pain is an indication that something new is about to be birthed. She can give thanks in the midst of her pain, because of the anticipated results. This Thanksgiving give thanks anyway for what god is preparing you for. Thank Him that He is in charge of your life and circumstances and He promises to work it out for your good (Rom 8:28)
